The hotel is very average to what you pay. Rooms are very spacious but feel quite empty - maybe more furniture or some other decorations would do a trick? Also basics missing in the room like kettle or coffee machine…
Staff was nice and polite but didn’t feel very special there. Location is great.
Another point to improve is in my opinion breakfast - the area is super grand and luxurious but the food doesn’t respond to these standards - very basic breakfast but mostly please get proper coffee machine - the coffee tasted like some Nescafé powdered machine made drink…
Hotel has a beautiful premises but it needs little bit more uplifting and small upgrades and it will be amazing!
My wife and I stayed here for a few days and found it fabulous.
Location was great (probably best not to drive like we did) walking distance to some amazing places.
Food epic.
Clean.
Polite staff.
Great value. We didn’t find it expensive at all.
Bumped into Daniel Craig in the lobby.
Highly recommend!
An amazing hotel with accomodating staff and excellent breakfast. A hotel with all the luxuries! We really had a great stay even only for one night. All our expectations were realized. I will rate this hotel 5/5. It is indeed a five star hotel👍👍 I would 100% recommend it. We will surely come back. Keep up the good work.
We decided to have dinner at the Grand Hotel after a leisurely walk through a Christmas bazaar. Although we live in Palermo, we had not eaten there for various reasons - too expensive? too fancy? etc. We were seated immediately in the Terrazzo and quickly realized our assumptions were wrong. Suan greeted us warmly and introduced us to the Sushi Experience. We've enjoyed Japanese food for many years - Sushi Experience is superb. The food is more than excellent, the service attentive and the cost more than reasonable. I cannot recommend the Terrazzo highly enough. If you like Japanese food and appreciate good service, the Terrazzo is an excellent choice. We will be back (often).
Everything about this hotel is first rate. The staff and concierge were always attentive and competent. The gym was solid which was a nice surprise. The terrace restaurant had incredible Mediterranean plates as well as high-quality sushi. Breakfast was so nice we opted to eat there before heading out to explore the vibrant Palermo. And the bed! Slept so well in this quiet, peaceful very comfortable room.
Had the worst experience at the hotel terrace restaurant ever. Imagine very pretentious place serving microscopic dishes ~€30 average price, where staff is watching your every movement and one lady is simply doing nothing other than standing in the corner and watching all over all guests — feels like you’re having a meal at prison. So when you eat here next time just keep in mind, you probably just pay her salary for being annoying.
After all they opened all doors to the terrace and it became as cold as hell there. It’s December.
I’m from New York and I’m not surprised with the price tags for dining. But you can expect a decent food and service for what you pay for. By the way, for such a pretentious level of service they have a pretty thick level of dust covering a tea box.
As about the hotel itself, again, trying to show high standards, but tiny shower cabin without even one shelf to put a shampoo on, no kettle, no coffee machine. Disappointed and I’ve been at a lot of places around Europe and US.
Very disappointed. The location is good and the place is clean but the service is awful (had to wait an hour for a cup of tea at breakfast) They did not warn us about the party the the hotel was hosting the night of my family’s stay. The loud noise was heard from my family in four different rooms until 3am. After the DJ set was over, fireworks started! I barely slept the entire night. Nothing was changed or compensated for after many complaints. The street noise was heard the whole night too. It is at a good location but the thin windows did not isolate any sound.
Centrally located and great service. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are renovated and very nice. Everything was very clean and I had a very enjoyable experience. I eould highly recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel wad fully booked on our 3 night so we moved to the Grand Hotel Wagner for one night and I was quite disappointed with the quality of that hotel compared to the Palmes, especially considering they are both 5 star hotels.
